5 fitness tips for busy professionals

5 Tips for Busy Professionals

Are you struggling to fit exercise into your busy lifestyle?

Here are my top 5 tips to help you stay healthy!

1. Incorporate fitness into your routine and make it a priority
Set a specific day and time to exercise. I find putting it in my diary (as I would with important meetings) helps me stick to it.

2. Swap some of your tea/coffee for water
Once the caffeine you’ve consumed throughout the day has worn off, you’ll crash and the last thing you’ll want to do is exercise. I’m not saying cut out tea and coffee completely, just make water your priority. Apart from the list of endless benefits, drinking more water will help you cut down on your caffeine intake.

3. Include walks in your working day
Have a phone call to make? Take a walk, there’s no reason to be seated. By the end of a 20-30 minute phone call you could’ve burned 150 calories. It may not sound like a lot but it all adds up.

4. Do something you enjoy
Don’t like running? Don’t run. Try something different like a high intensity or strength class. Your exercise routine shouldn’t be a punishment. We make sure all our clients enjoy their training; this improves consistency and results.

5. Hire a coach that understands your lifestyle
Tired in the evening? Train in the morning. Can only fit in a 45 minute session? Okay, lets do it and take less rest. These are the sort of things you should be hearing from your coach.
